Fiori di magnolia,
roseo languore,danzano sui rami
come candidi fuochi fatui;
al vento di marzo
si donano e sfogliano;
nel crepuscolo turchino
sospeso nella sera,
si adagiano a terra,
mentre altri fiori
sbocciano ed emanano
il profumo primaverile.
Magnolia flowers,
rosy languor,
dance on the branches
like white wisps;
to the March wind
they give themselves
and lose their petals;
in the twilight deep blue,
suspended in the evening,
they recline on the ground,
while other flowers
bloom and give off
the spring scent.
